Extend Time for Debtor - Trustee to File Claim on behalf of Creditor

Rule 3004. Filing of Claims by Debtor or Trustee
If a creditor does not timely file a proof of claim under Rule 3002(c) or 3003(c), the debtor or trustee may file a proof of the claim within 30 days after the expiration of the time for filing claims prescribed by Rule 3002(c) or 3003(c), whichever is applicable. The clerk shall forthwith give notice of the filing to the creditor, the debtor and the trustee.

Once the time to file a claim expires under Rule 3004, the debtor or trustee may file a Motion to Extend Time to File a Claim on behalf of a Creditor.
This event replaces Motion to File Claim After Claims Bar Date.
Step-by-Step Procedures:

Select [Bankruptcy>Motions/Applications]

Enter case number and click Next

Select Extend Time for Debtor/Trustee to File Claim on behalf of Creditor from pick list and click Next

Select Party from party pick list or Add/create new party

Click Next

The Attorney/Party Association screen may display. If it does, click here. If not, Click Next, and go to step 7.
The PDF Document selection screen will display.

Browse, View and Attach
Next, the Proposed Order must be added as an attachment to the notice of motion and motion.

Click Yes radio button for Attachment to Document and click Next

Click Next

Insert hearing date, time and select hearing location

Click Next

Click Next again
The Docket Text: Modify as Appropriate page will display. Click down arrow to select a prefix if applicable.

Click Next
The Docket Text: Final Text page will display. This is your final opportunity to modify the entry before submitting the filing.

Verify the accuracy of the docket text

Click Next to complete filing process
The Notice of Electronic Filing will display. It is the verification that the filing has been sent electronically to the court.
Copies of this notice and the document filed are emailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case. You have a period of 15 days for a one timefree look at the document filed.
